Are you comfortable with discomfort?

You can train yourself to tolerate something unpleasant. For anyone who has done High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) or hill sprints, then you already know that's true.

I HATE hill sprints! Why do I do it? Because I want my body to tolerate lactic acid better and train my fast twitch muscles and anaerobic system. And so I suck it up, and get on with it!

Training the breath is not so different. If you want to reduce your dependency on medication, like Katie has, then there are simple, short exercises you can do to train yourself.

"I'm a runner, cyclist and swimmer but have had chronic asthma (mostly exercise-induced) for over 40 years. Recently it's been getting worse and my meds have increased which I hate. Then by chance I heard about the Oxygen Advantage. After 4 weeks of doing the exercises, I went for my first bike ride yesterday without either my steroid medication or reliever pump. This nose breathing thing is transformational!"
Katie

The main challenges are:
  • Knowing what to do
  • How to do it
  • Remembering to do it every day

The motivated, self-coached among you probably won't find that so hard. But many of us are not that organised, and the pace of life is so fast that it's easy to forget or become distracted. Time is scarce for us all.

Joining the online course will provide you with the structure and guidance to succeed at switching easily to nose breathing, and reducing your dependency on asthma medication. Who am I to teach you this?
